Apologies for this late update. But I had a great weekend and I didn't have time to update in time.

Started out the weekend with a short and brutal workout that pushed me past the evil redline.

Seeing people out protesting on a Friday afternoon was heartening. Most passing motorists honked their approval. The only contrary voice was the driver of a lime-green wrapped Tesla Cybertruck who yelled "Four more years!" over and over again.

Went on a very informative tour of the Willamette Riverfront in Milwaukie, OR. It was a bit chilly, so I warmed up a the newest coffee spot. It's in the old historic Milwaukie City Hall (which was one of the last WPA projects in Oregon, according to our tour guide) and is perfectly charming. The latte was very nice.

Spent a great Saturday night playing games with my friends. Flip 7 is a new to me card game that is simple and addictive! Our host used an app on his phone to keep score, and since I spent most of the game in last place the app taunted my score! I was offended and delighted in almost equal measure.

One of our number suggested we play a game of Bohnanza, or as we call it "the bean game", to honor the passing of a member of our little clan. We all realized that we hadn't played it since she passed several years ago so we played the bean game! It was much more fun than I remembered, and I'm just as bad at this game as I am in most other games I play!

And there was cake! Galaxy cake! Pretty and tasty!
Today I'm not doing much of anything, and that is its own kind of good shit!
