Or, for the love of God, Tom, please don’t do this again! I have been online in one form or another for over 30 years. I wrote and posted bad poetry (and made some lifelong friends!) at the Usenet forum “rec.arts.poetry”. I remember logging on with a 9600 baud modem and thinking that was the coolest. When I upgraded to a 14400 setup, I thought I was in heaven! From the moment I started interacting with other people online, other strangers , I quickly came up with two rules :
