Got to the gym early today, in time to see one of my coaches headed out the door. She teaches a class for older folks just before my class and one of her atheletes followed close behind.

"Tom, this Olivia," Paula said.

"Good morning, Olivia," I said. "I hope Coach Paula wasn't too rough on you."

For context, Olivia was pushing a walker and wearing a nasal canula, with tubes trailing down to an oxygen tank she carried over her shoulder.

"Well, I deadlifted a bit," Olivia said.

"Awesome! How'd that go?" I asked.

"Pretty good, pretty good," Olivia said with a smile.

"Well, you have a great day, Olivia. It was a pleasure to meet you. Hope I see you again soon," I said.

"Oh, you will, don't you worry," Olivia smiled as she made her way out to her car.

Paula closed the door after I stepped inside.

"Olivia is 79 years young," Paula offered.

"Well then," I replied, "I best get back to work."

Thank you, Olivia, for giving me the push I needed today.

Nonsense engaged.
Nonsense engaged.
