Ever since my Father took me to see "Alien" when it first came out, I have been fascinated and horrified by the future presented in these stories. The uber-corporation, Weyland-Yutani, bestrides the future like a colossus, and is forever hungry for profit and knowledge. That hunger for knowledge leads them into the darkest corners of the universe, and what resides in those corners sometimes bleeds acid.
On this day, in the fictional timeline year of 2023, a young Peter Weyland takes the stage and gives a speech for the ages... and one that presages so much horror to come.
